Details: The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) defines an Accessible Pedestrian Signal as “a device that communicates information about pedestrian timing in nonvisual format such as audible tones, verbal messages, and/or vibrating surfaces.” (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices 2009, Section 4E.09) Campbell Company will discuss the latest advancement in pedestrian safety. The Advisor Advanced Accesible Pedestrian Station (AAPS) is smart signal technology designed to satisfy guidelines specified by the Federal Highway Administration. Agenda:
